Ana Lozano Pilates Studio was established in 2005 by two of the best and most experienced professionals of the Pilates Method in the Canary Islands – Ana Lozano and Yanina Ialorenzo.

Years of practice, training, studies and rewarding results with clients from around the world have proven the effectiveness of the Pilates method and have improved the quality of life of hundreds of people.. Each and every member of the team of instructors is fully trained and specialised in different areas of health and rehabilitation.

TYPES OF PILATES

MAT PILATES

In addition to correcting poor body posture and burning calories, over time you will notice how your flexibility and muscle mobility improves. Through awareness of the body and mindful breathing, regularly practising Pilates will become a great ally when it comes to reducing stress and calming the mind. As well as using a wide variety of exercises, we also incorporate accessories such as balls, elastic bands, magic circle, CORE Band®, foam rollers and stability cushions, which make each class a different experience.

PILATES WITH AEROSLING

The Aerosling Elite Plus allows us the opportunity to discover a new world of possibilities in terms of Pilates and suspension exercises. This versatile system, which uses the body as resistance, adapts Pilates Mat exercises to suspension work, enhancing results and ensuring a greater degree of control and stability. Thanks to the pulley and its modular system, you can regulate the difficulty and enjoy using a wide range of very useful accessories.

REFORMER PILATES (MACHINES)

Working with the Pilates machines offers many possibilities when it comes to putting the basic exercises of the Method into practice. As well as being able to vary the resistance levels and work different muscle groups simultaneously, by working this way we also manage to reduce the impact on the joints, thus avoiding possible injuries. In our centre you will discover the most modern machines with which you can carry out your private Pilates sessions. You will also have an initial assessment and personal monitoring in both private classes and our small group classes.

PILATES FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

The enormous changes our body experiences during the months of pregnancy are inevitable, but by exercising we can avoid many of the discomforts associated with pregnancy. If the abdominal wall muscles are weak, there’s a greater chance of suffering from pain in the back or pelvis, which is why it’s so important to strengthen this area. By practising Pilates before and during pregnancy, you will prepare your body to be able to carry the extra weight.

Practising Pilates also contributes to greater control of breathing, a very important factor in both pregnancy and childbirth. If you are a beginner, the best time to start is between weeks 8 and 12.

You should seek expert medical advice before starting these exercises.

PILATES FOR ATHLETES

Strengthening certain skills is an essential part of any sport, no matter how varied it may be. Greater concentration, a strong back, elasticity and flexibility are great allies for every athlete. Incorporate Pilates into your exercise routine and notice how you develop essential qualities to face any physical activity.
