8 EVENTS YOU SHOULDN’T MISS THIS SUMMER IN TENERIFE

Lots of people wonder what to do in Tenerife in summer (apart from going to the beach) and the truth is, it can be quite difficult to decide because of all the fun activities there are.

As a sports club, we love any plan that requires putting our trainers and sport gear on, but, as a social club, we also know how to chill and enjoy a great party.

That’s why we’ve come up with a list with that combines the best sporting and leisure events that will take place during July and August in Tenerife.

We’re off to the north of the island to run for a good cause, the fight against leukemia. The second edition of this race will begin at 10:00 by the coast in Los Silos. If there’s something we like more than exercise it’s doing it for a good cause, and on this occasion, it’s a solidarity act in benefit of the Josep Carreras Foundation and the Alejandro Da Silva Foundation.

Adults (7,5 and 15 km) and children (300 – 500 m) can participate in this race. The inscription includes a runners bag with T-shirt and several presents.

MinimalSummer

MINIMAL SUMMER

When? 4th of August

Where? Magma Arte & Congresos

One of the most popular summer parties in the south of the islands is changing location! You probably won’t know what party we’re referring to if we say Minimal Summer, but we’re sure you remember that once a year, the coastal town of El Porís de Abona (in Arico) celebrates a massive party. Due to its large success, the organizers have decided to move the party to Magma in Costa Adeje, but without losing the beach vibe it’s know for. That’s why you’ll be able to have fun in the “Beach area”, a space designed with swimming pools, climbing walls and lots of surprises.

The party will be outdoors, and during 13 hours you can choose between the Latin area and the electro one, two completely different atmospheres.

TenerifeUrbano

TENERIFE URBANO

When? 10th of August

Where? Skate Park in El Médano

As variety is the spice of life, we’re not going to be running and swimming all day… In this sporting event, rarer activities are the main subject, sports such as skate, parkour, calisthenics, BMX freestyle or urban dance. Organized by the Cabildo of Tenerife in collaboration with different town halls, this program includes all these street activities with the intention of giving young people a space to practice their favourite sport.

Tenerife Urbano arrives to the south of the island on the 10th of August, to El Medano to be more precise, where, after an evening full of events, a rap concert will take place, in which different musical groups of the island will participate. Without a doubt, an event that will enlighten many young people in search of new activities.

Sunblast

SUNBLAST

When? 11th of August

Where? Costa Adeje

One of the most awaited festivals of the Canary Islands will take place on the 11th of August, bringing some of the most famous DJs worldwide to Costa Adeje. In this seventh edition, more than 30 artists will be present during a popular open-air festival, including Tego Calderón, Kase O, Friction and Panorama, among others.

5 stages make up the space dedicated to this event, in which the Espacio Cultural Aguere will also be present with a stage that will offer mainly live acts. Around 200.000 people are expected, who will enjoy 9 hours of music.

With so many plans and events, it’s not surprising that summer is many people’s favourite time of the year.

We know for sure that if you’re in Tenerife this summer and you like sport and music, it’ll be impossible to be bored!

The question now is, which one are you going to go to? We hope the answer is… all of them!
